Koreans are descents of “Toohoo”(秺侯) as it is written in the inscription on the tomb of King Moonmoo. Who were the ancestors of the Korean people? The purpose this book is to seek a historical answer to this bold question about the Beginnings of Korea's History. This book draws the historical conclusion that “Toohoo”(秺侯) is “Sanggu Sung”(商丘成), not “Kim Ilje”(金日磾). This book translates and interprets and discusses historical records that prove this in Korean. Translated, interpreted and discussed the paragraph “秺侯之忠孝淳深”, which appears in the “Ballad of Westward Journey” by the Pan Ark is the most conclusive proof. In the commentary of Lee Seon of the Tang Dynasty, it was interpreted as Kim Ilje, but I refuted Lee Seon's commentary in detail.
In Li Seon's commentary on the “Ballad of Westward Journey”(西征賦), "Toohoo" was interpreted as Kim Ilje, but I refute Lee Seon's commentary in detail, proposing that Toohoo refers to Sanggu Sung. In addition, Lee Seon interpreted “被髮左袵奮迅泥滓” as “from a foreign nation,” and interpreted it as Kim Ilje, who defected to the Han Dynasty as a native of the northern tribes of the Xiongnu tribe that dominates the barbarian land in the northwest. However, I refute Lee Seon’s comment, saying that it refers to Somu and Janggeon, not Kim Iljae.
The person who advanced from the eastern territory to the west and was caught there and suffered all kinds of disgrace, overcame it and eventually returned to the mother land, was referred to as “Toohoo” in the “Ballad of Westward Journey”(西征賦).
Another historical source that proves the most conclusive evidence of the Toohoo saga is the biography of Yuguli the Book of Han(漢書).
“Toohoo” in the tombstone of King Moonmoo does not refer to “Kim Il-je,” who was from the Xiongnu tribe, but refers to “Sanggu Sung” as described in the biography of Yuguli in the Book of Han. As the progenitor of the Korean Empire, “Toohoo Sanggu Sung” is historically proven. In 91 B.C., Sanggu Sung, who was in the position of Daehongryeo, was awarded the title of “Toohoo” for his achievements in chasing down the rebellion and overthrowing the imperial prince's party, and Jeum county was his feudal land. "Toohoo" appearing in the tombstone of King Moonmoo of Silla Kingdom refers not to Kim Ilje, a descendant of Crown Prince Hudo of the Xiong-nu tribe of north-western territory, but the Sanggu Sung from the Eastern Dongyi tribe of the Han. Sanggu Sung, a descent of the ethnic Dongyi tribe, corresponds to the ancestors of the Silla Empire of the Korean Peninsula.
Is it the will of heaven made by the power of heavenly principle? Or is it made by individual efforts of person’s manpower? How does Hegel's Minerva of History work? Shouldn't the golden age be restored by finding the truth of concealed history? Right now, on the Korean Peninsula, we have the duty and right to rebuild a paradise on earth, to pursue happiness together, and to enjoy a prosperous life.
